Wright Waters and Louisiana-Lafayette

I know. I didn’t even mention the last game vs FAU. Sorry. I was cheating on you.

In any case we have an important game coming up. Louisiana (as they prefer to be called) is on a five game win streak. Yeah. I’m surprised, too. As much trouble as I have rustling up interest for anything Rajun Cajun, a five game streak should be noticed.

So let’s look a little closer:

At Kent State 20-12. The Golden Flash is terrible. This game was a blight on college football.

Home vs Nicholls State 38-21. This is an FCS squad and not a very good one.

At Florida International 36-31. This was the game that FIU kind of botched after receiving loads of hype. Wesley Carroll went down in the first quarter and backup Medlock threw an interception to end the comeback. This is a genuinely impressive win that can attributed to other factors more than a quality Cajun squad.

Home vs Florida Atlantic 37-34. Yes the same underperforming 0-5 FAU with outgoing coach Howard Schnellenberger. They had to kick a late, game-winning field goal to edge those mighty Owls by the way.

Home vs Troy 31-17. An impressive win against a down-year Trojan squad. Big Whoop.
