I honestly have no feel for what the upcoming season will be like. I’m still high on Chris Jones and Jordan Williams. I still am shocked that last season went so terribly. Whatever misgivings I/we had about Tony Benford hopefully stay in last season.
It is hard to forget how excited I was to begin the season and how disappointed I was at the end. While the football team has always been some level of bad, the basketball team was always good for a nice, under-appreciated run. It seems to me the fortunes are in the process of being flipped — well at least the expectations are. CUSA is a good conference and not as winnable as the Sun Belt. I wait with reserved hope.
It’s always nice to see the bball team get some much deserved love. I’ll leave the skepticism for later. Right now it is a time to enjoy some entertainment.
