Some Numbers to Ponder on a Sunday Night

  • Since 2010 CUSA teams with a record .500 or above have scored above 21 points per game. The average over that time period was 33 points per game.
  • Since Coach McCarney’s hire in 2011 the Mean Green have averaged just 24 points per game.
  • In his 50 games as the Mean Green coach his teams have only reached 30 points in a game 16 times.
  • Coach Mac has been the head coach of only 1 team that average over 30 points per game for an entire season. That was North Texas in 2013.
  • Through Coach Mac’s career his teams have only managed to average 23 points per game.
  • Andrew McNulty’s passer rating on 3rd Down vs. SMU was 111.6, but his passer rating on 2nd down was 20.5.
