Linky Time
Bret Vito gets real pessimistic while sounding hopeful.
And that brings us to ULL. The Ragin Cajuns are 4-2 and might not be as good as a lot of people — me included — thought. Troy might make a run at six wins, but does not look like an elite Sun Belt team. And ULL’s win over Troy might be its best win so far.
This is beyond frustrating if you rely on him for perspective on the program.
Worry not. I got you. WKU and ULM are good teams that are coached well. Beating them will be tough and impressive. Everyone else in the Belt is very beatable. The ULL win was an impressive vitory because it was the kind of game North Texas has lost. Baby steps, folks
The Mean Green Breakdown
Some time in August a new Mean Green site popped up. I hadn’t heard about them until I stopped by gmg.com for my monthly browse of the forums. Not really my style but hurray for another North Texas site.

Terrible ULL Recap by ULL guy
This just screams “I am forced by the station to have a web presence.
The Cajuns got a touchdown on their first possession, but paid a dear price when Harry Peoples hurt his shoulder on the touchdown pass. He would not return. And, for the most part, the Cajuns didn’t get much done offensively the rest of the night.
They didn’t get much done defensively either.
If you thought North Texas was capable of getting 500 yards in offense against the Cajuns, raise your hands.
Didn’t think so.
Can we go 6-6?
It is nice to see that fans are getting hopeful. My stance? We have a chance to run the table. Don’t know why we are aiming to pick low-hanging fruit.
There are a ton of decent threads up. The win has everyone excited and actually talking some real football instead of indulging trolls.
