As expected, we won the bowl game. 35-23 was the final. We had tons of offense including a very Mestemaker-like run. Thanks, glitchy defense! (I’d show it to you but PSN is still processing it)
We threw touchdowns. We also threw terrible interceptions. (I didn’t see the corner stay home and not follow the post) and also got interceptions for scores.
I don’t like that the computer had some kind of boost to start this one. They finished with 171 yards rushing to my 95. I had 341 passing, to their 258. The thing is I grabbed four interceptions. Defense wins bowl games.
Finally, to change it all up as we enter the next season of the glorious dynasty here, I wanted to switch it up. Instead of these written recaps, I will just show you the game play.
This is an hour long (!!!!) but I put chapters there so you can quickly move through it. We set up our recruiting board, set our depth chart, added some big time programs to the schedule and did some practice with the new guys using some staple plays. Already I can tell my new QB1 is going to be different, as he doesn’t have the same kind of arm for deep tosses. I will have to change that up a ton. The good news is he can run, so I will run more. Funny, because Fake McCollum ran for a 60-yarder in the bowl game. A nice hurrah.
What do I think the next season will bring? Well, I want to cut down on these interceptions, and also get this run game going. The corners are all very young and suspect so I will need lots of offense. The front seven are good, so I like that. The safeties are experienced. GMG (even the fake kind)
Fake coach quote:
We had a good offseason and I’m excited about next year. We like where are program is and we want to take it to the next level. We’ve had a taste of the CFP and we want more. No disrespect to the First Responder Bowl, but that’s not where our aim is. We know we can be among the elite programs and that’s our goal. Ten wins last year is really the standard now.
