This was always going to be a transitionary year, even if some major pieces of the 2023 NIT tournament winners were returning. Head coach Ross Hodge, Rubin Jones, and Aaron Scott were coming back (also with Moulaye Sissoko) and the thinking was that NT could be able to do like they had done before and reload.
