George Stoia of the OU Daily wrote that Lincoln Riley might have tapped Graham Harrell QB coach job after Bob Stoops stepped down as head coach. I reached out to Stoia to see if this was simply speculation or smoke from a fire somewhere within the Sooner camp. It was the former.
Given his history as a player (CFB legend, and cup of coffee as an NFL guy) Harrell will always be considered for these types of jobs and especially while people he has connections to are in positions to hire. This always seemed a bit far-fetched, but it is not unrealistic. After all he went from outside receivers coach to offensive coordinator after two years.
