North Texas to Myrtle Beach Bowl vs Appalachian State

Intrepid and connected reporter Brett McMurphy tweeted that North Texas will face Appalachian State in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on December 21st.

Head coach Seth Littrell had mentioned he was hoping there was one more game. Star wide receiver Jaelon Darden had hinted he was done stretching the all-time records at North Texas as he declared for the upcoming NFL Draft.

North Texas barely beat UTEP this past Friday in a high scoring game and will face a really good Appalachian State squad in the bowl game.

Myrtle Beach Bowl

The Myrtle Beach Bowl was founded in 2018 and will play its inaugural game this season at Brooks Stadium — home of surprise AP-top 25 squad Coastal Carolina. It is owned by ESPN Events, like 17 other bowl games including the Bahamas Bowl, Boca Raton Bowl, Hawai’i Bowl — all games linked with CUSA.
