Nope. Didn’t bring this guy

The good news:

North Texas controlled the game fairly well, played good defense, knocked down their shots and won the game.

Tristan Thompson continued his scoring tear this year.

The bad news:

Grambling got back into the game a little bit before UNT took back control and pushed the lead to nearly twenty.

Attendance was pretty terrible but I won’t go into that because it gives me a headache.

Other:

The Grambling bench attempted to cheer on their defense, “DEFENSE (clap, clap) DEFENSE.” It isn’t unusual, but it was kind of funny considering how noticeable it was. Maybe that is just me.

Look ahead:

North Texas visits Texas Southern, another SWAC team. They are 1-5, first in their conference.
