Oh rumors they are the only thing sustaining football fans right now. While nothing major has come out of Denton thus far, there are a few rumblings about Offensive Coordinator Mike Canales and a head coaching gig at UAB and quieter, mostly message board chatter about him going to Sam Houston.
While I’d like to see him stay in Denton for the continuity, his passion for the program, and his relationship with the players, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. The program’s identity isn’t tied up in our offense. Also, Chico probably deserves a shot at the head gig.
