North Texas needs players to replace Kishawn McClain, and to a lesser extent, Dee Baulkmann. Davis is a hard hitting type, the kind that can be a run-stopper and defend in the pass game —- essentially what is required from modern defensive schemes.
His Hudl highlights from his junior year shows a strong kid, good awareness, and good hands. You can see him fight through lineman to blow up screens and make big hits. A safety that hits like a linebacker is useful to say the least.
