MGN CUSA Power Rankings: Week 4

Thoughts:

• Southern Miss I thought had a semi-statement win against Texas St. Texas St is a good team and has a really good QB.

• Louisiana Tech missed an opportunity to beat KState. I think Tech now moves into the class of this conference with Allen’s injury at WKU.

• WKU should have beaten Indiana. It looks like WKU is back to playing no defense.

• UTEP beat one of the worst teams in the country, and maybe they found some better QB play. Leftwich went down with an injury and back up Ryan Metz came in and tossed 3 TDs and ran for another.

• Charlotte was just demolished.

• Not sure about Rice yet. They havent played anybody other than a Texas team that struggles on defense. Yes they moved the ball at will against North Texas, but they also gave up too many big plays.
