Early Line v Army: NT 9.5 point Underdogs

North Texas is going to face Army as underdogs again. In October, the spread was 17 or so, and NT used seven Army turnovers, a slick field, and some luck to win going away.

Vegas Insider has the spread at about 9. Army has struggled a bit since their 3-0 start, but they are still tough to deal with. North Texas may still be without Mason Fine and a fully healthy Jeff Wilson. He played against UTEP, but that was for lack of other options.

WR Tee Goree, who caught a TD against Army, just tweeted a picture of himself in a SFA jersey. He was already suspended/dismissed from the team for undisclosed reasons (along with Willie Robinson).

Given this and the face plant the defense displayed in El Paso, the rationale is pretty sound. North Texas is essentially at home, but not quite. This bowl game, however cool and important and useful, is still going to be a challenge.
