  • Yeah I put ODU over Middle. Middle is the better team, their is no doubt in my mind, but no one is playing better than ODU. In their last 3 games the average margin of victory for ODU is 33 points.

  • After the disappointing loss to UTSA Marshall has turned it around. They’ve feasted on the lower half of CUSA. They picked up a huge win against UNT on Saturday. It may have been somewhat controversial, but got to give the Thundering Herd credit for winning in a tough venue.

  • I’m glad that UNT is not UAB. No one closes with a tougher schedule than the Blazers. UAB gets Middle, Marshall, and WKU. Good luck. If the Blazers are able to run the table they have a shot at getting that bye in Frisco.

  • Looking at how things are set up right now, who is the most dangerous lower seed that could make a run in Frisco? North Texas plays every one close. They could be that team, but playing everyone close means they could lose early. UTSA has been a yo-yo of consistency. They have the offense to be a threat, but how will such a young team handle the environment? Louisiana Tech has talent, but they haven’t really played the top tier teams tough.  FAU could be a sneaky team. The Owls have size and defense, but no offense. I think if you were going to pick one, it would have to be North Texas. North Texas has shown it can play good defense, and good offense. They have Roosevelt Smart and they have Grant McCasland.

  • Nick King is the player of the year in CUSA, to me he has that locked down. Now what about Coach of the Year? Who do you have? Kermit Davis at Middle, Jeff Jones ODU, Grant McCasland North Texas, and Rick Stansbury WKU are my top 4 candidates right now. You can’t go wrong with any of those. I lean towards Davis, because he is the best coach. It’s not always easy getting your team to live up to expectations. He has done that.

  • I think the toughest call may be trying to figure out All-Conference First Team. There are so many good players in this league. So many good guards. Here is my five
    • Nick King, F, MTSU
    • Chris Cokley, F, UAB
    • Jon Elmore, G, Marshall
    • Darius Thompson, G, WKU
    • Ahmad Carver, G, ODU
