I hope each and every one of you has a great time with your family and friends. At the risk of repeating literally every publication: 2020 has been the strangest, most contentious, exhausting year in recent memory.
We each have a slightly different perspective on this time. For some of you this as religious significance. Others use this time to level up on stuff you will brag about on Instagram. Still others of you will use this time to get some extra hours at work.
At various points in my life I have done some version of the above and a little bit more. At its most practical, the holiday season is a time where we have a chance to reflect and appreciate our family and friends. I hope you take whatever time you have available to do just that.
In some years I have had but fleeting moments. In others, like this one, I have had the great fortune to have had much more. This past year has made extra clear the value of each moment with a person I love or like. I hope you choose to enjoy every moment you have with someone or someones you love.
